Rolling over and bath time

Hi again everyone. Time flies so fast. I thought I would put up pictures more frequently, but it's been challenging to find the extra time. This past month was especially busy, as I started working again from home. I was only able to get the work done by working weekends and every spare minute of the day. Hopefully that won't be the norm, because that can't last. But I somehow ended up with multiple projects coming at me at once that I really couldn't decline. Thankfully we got through it. And that is only because Wole took over caring for Eden on the weekends. What a great husband, right?

Last time I tried to upload the video of Eden rolling over. It wouldn't work, but this time it did. You can watch her below. As an update, yesterday she rolled over from the opposite direction for the first time (from tummy onto her right side, instead of left, then back). She's doing well!

Right now she's sleeping off the shots she got at the doctor's office this morning. Poor thing. The supplier has run low on the combined vaccine, so she had to get lots of pokes. The combo shot is reserved for the two-month-old babies, which she was last time. Not this time. Here she is snoozing in the car seat after the ride home.

One of the highlights since I last wrote is that Eden graduated from the bath chair to sitting in the big kids' tub (aka the sink). She thoroughly enjoys the relaxation of being in the warm water, and baths are even more fun now.

You can hear a little of Eden's voice here after the bath. She has this little cough that seems to substitute for a laugh many times. But she officially laughed out loud last month on the 26th, so we're making progress on that front too!

More pictures to come soon, but I'll end this post here for now.

Getting started with blogging

Hi there,

I'm starting this blog to have somewhere that everyone who cares to see pictures of Eden can see them. Facebook is great, but it's not everyone's cup of tea (including mine sometimes). If you want to see the posts without having to check back all the time, you should subscribe! :-) I think there's a link for that at the bottom of the page. That way you'll receive an email whenever I post something.

It's been awhile since I put up some pictures of Eden, so here are some of the latest. Actually, I'm overdue in posting any, so here's a slew of 'em.

This is just one of her pretty little face. :)

Aunt Linda (Great-Aunt Linda!) sent us a super snuggly bath towel for Eden that works a hundred times better than the "baby" towels they sell online or in stores. This one was handmade with love, and Eden thinks it's the best. Thanks, Linda!

We spend a lot of time on Mommy and Daddy's bed, because that's where diaper changes happen, "tummy time," etc., hence the red sheets in the background on half of our pictures. No worries, I wash the sheets. I just put them right back on again instead of folding them. No one likes folding the fitted sheets, right?

So, our big moment this month was when Eden rolled over for the first time! She went from her tummy to her back at 3 months, 5 days old. I was pretty proud of her, and you can see that she was too. I've been trying to upload the video of her in action, but it's not working. Maybe in another post.

Yeah. I'm all that.

And here's Eden sporting her Kimley-Horn T-shirt from Daddy's work. The logo is a little crunched up, but trust me, it's there.

Okay, blurry picture, I know. Not like I wanted to focus on the home fries. But I picked this one anyway because Eden looks like such a big girl. :)

And a big smile for Daddy!

This next one gave us a few laughs. Eden has been focusing a lot on her hands lately, and you can sense the intensity she puts into this part of her development.

Big smiles for airplane rides!

This picture is for Barbara. I love the little outfit! Thank you!

Little bit of skin-to-skin after bath time. She's getting so big!

And, finally, a picture with Mommy! I'm usually on the other end of the camera. She's my sweetie! Thanks, Aunt Tara, for the cute outfit! I love the bright color on her.

The Snugli works perfectly for Eden at this age. She can see out easily, and she has a little something to nibble on while she watches the world go by. :)

And that's it! Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Now that this blog is up, I may be able to get things posted a little more frequently. Love you all. - Debbie
